Friends Annual Golf Benefit

The Friends of the Waisman Center will host its 16th annual golf benefit on the third Monday in July at Bishops Bay Country Club. The event is one of the Friends' two major fund raisers, with proceeds supporting many types of programs and activities at the Waisman Center, including:
- A project to upgrade and revitalize the space housing the Waisman Center’s 10 specialty clinics, which provide services and supports to people with developmental disabilities and neurodegenerative diseases.
- The Waisman Early Childhood Program Scholarship Fund, which assists families who have a child with a disability or exceptional needs but lack the financial resources to cover tuition or special therapies in the Waisman Center's model laboratory school
- Financial assistance to enable families to participate in research projects or to attend educational and training programs at the center
- Recognition awards to graduate students and staff who have done outstanding work at the Waisman Center
