Opportunities for Giving

Naming Opportunity:
Brain Imaging Laboratory

$ 4 million

WaismanSince the Waisman Center Brain Imaging Laboratory opened in 2001, we have received more than $25M in federal grant support for our research.  While these funds are integral to the advancement of our research, they do not cover critical infrastructure expenses that will enable us to remain at the leading edge.  Endowment support is a prerequisite to the continued success of the laboratory.

A $4M gift to the Brain Imaging Laboratory Endowment would provide ongoing funding for the maintenance of instrumentation, the retention of our talented group of faculty and scientists, enabling us to continue to harness the potential of emerging technologies.

The Waisman Brain Imaging Laboratory is very frequently in the national and international news (see In the News).  Articles about our work have appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and LA Times just within this past year.  Dr. Davidson has appeared on national television in interviews on PBS, CNN, ABC and other national network programs within the past several years.  Our work has also appeared in many prominent national news magazines including Time, Newsweek, National Geographic, Scientific American.  Dr. Davidson has been selected as one of the 100 world innovators for the Special Issue of Time magazine on the 100 Best that will appear in May, 2006.  In all of these venues, the name of the Laboratory directed by Dr. Davidson is very prominently mentioned.  Thus, there will be instant publicity for the name.
