Throughout my professional career, I have been interested in working with individuals, agencies and organizations to create collaborative working relationships to design and implement health and disability related programs and services. My particular areas of interest have been on developmental disabilities, and maternal and child health, with a special focus on association management within the non-profit sector. Prior to assuming my current position in 1998, I served for 20 years as executive director of a Wisconsin based perinatal association and supporting foundation, and before that as a human services budget and program consultant. Given that the national network of University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities was created to serve as organizational units that foster university and community partnerships, my lead position with the Waisman Center UCEDD provides me the exciting opportunity to build upon my interests and experience, and to work with a wide range of Center based faculty and staff, academic departments, individuals with disabilities and their families, and many other community partners.
