Community of Practice on Autism Spectrum Disorders
and other Developmental Disabilities (CoP ASD/DD)
To sign up for the CoP ASD/DD listserv, send an email to wiconnnections.asd.dd@gmail.com.
The CoP ASD/DD was started as part of the Connections Iniative which ended in fall of 2011. The CoP ASD/DD has continued on even without grant funding and is led by a steering team which includes parents, researchers, physicians, and many others, the CoP ASD/DD gathers stakeholders from throughout Wisconsin three times a year. Usually we spend a morning learning together about new developments and implementations on national, state and local levels (although we do hold all-day meetings when sponsors underwrite the day). If you are not familiar with the Community of Practice model, we invite you to learn more. Information on our future meetings is available, as well as information from our past meetings. You can also learn more about the seven practice groups that were a part of the Connections Grant and what each focused on.
We are also excited to be a part of sharedwork.org. Sharedwork.org is place where multiple states can share what they are learning and work together on a number of different initiatives. Once you register on the site, scroll down to National Community of Practice on Autism Spectrum Disorder and see what is happening around the country.
