Flow Cytometry
The Becton Dickinson Biosciences FACSCalibur is a four color flow cytometer that can maximize the data collected from small samples. Others applications involve the analysis of bacteria, DNA, stem cells, leukemia samples, cytokines and BD cytometric bead arrays. The unit can perform analysis from a single tube, not from an auto sampler or 96 well format. Sorting is not available on this unit. DNA analysis software as well as FlowJo and Cell Quest Pro are available. The Mac computer is equipped with a USB flash drive, zip drive and a CD burner for saving and transporting data. This instrument is located at the Waisman Center in room T635B.
