How to connect a network drive from a Macintosh
This has been tested on OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
From the Go menu of the Finder select "Connect to server" or enter Command-K.
Connect dialog
Enter the following for the server address:
smb://cifs.waisman.wisc.edu/SHARE-NAME
where SHARE-NAME is your Waisman username or the name of a project drive. Examples:
smb://cifs.waisman.wisc.edu/nitschkelab
smb://cifs.waisman.wisc.edu/ucedd
username
Enter your username
Enter waisman\ followed by your waisman username. Example:
waisman\smith
Click OK. The network drive should be mounted as a volume and appear on the right side of your desktop.
