What are Practice Groups?

Practice Groups are subject-specific subsets of the larger Community of Practice on Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Developmental Disabilities (CoP ASD/DD), whereby each participant brings his/her work to the table and everyone looks for ways to get their work done through this group. For example, if you are developing a new referral form, this group could review it and give feedback. This is where the concept of "shared work" comes into play. Beginning in 2010, we would like to offer the opportunity to each Practice Group to share their progress with the large group so that Practice Groups can learn from one another. Each Practice Group has co-facilitators who will facilitate the discussion, take notes and arrange follow-up calls.

The CoP ASD/DD has seven Practice Groups. If you would like more information about what each Practice Group has discussed and is currently working on, please click on the Practice Group name. Combined notes of the Practice Group from each Community of Practice are also available.
