The Research Participation Core line

Welcome!

The Research Participation Core (RPC) provides support to investigators for some of the most challenging aspects of research involving human participants, including recruitment, behavioral assessment, computer programming applications and advanced statistical analysis.

The RPC engages in outreach on behalf of IDDRC investigators and develops and maintains participant registries that provide an efficient means of contacting large numbers of potential human participants from several specialized populations, such as twins, infants and populations with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. The RPC also provides clinical expertise in psychological and behavioral assessment tools; access to state-of-the-art testing equipment and laboratories (e.g., sound-attenuated chambers); expertise in computer technologies for specialized data acquisition, storage and manipulations; and state-of-the-art statistical analysis techniques.
