Welcome to the Southern Regional Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN). The Southern Regional Center for CYSHCN serves families and providers who care for children and youth birth to 21 years of age with a long term chronic physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional illness or condition. Examples include asthma, developmental delay, hearing loss, cancer, diabetes, autism and many others.

Our center is part of a statewide CYSHCN network that includes five regional centers in Wisconsin. All five centers are funded through an MCH Title V Services Block Grant and provide free and confidential assistance to families and providers and are dedicated to meeting families' needs through:

  • resources and follow up,
  • trainings for parents and/or professionals,
  • parent/family support services
  • links to community agencies and CYSHCN partners that can help coordinate the many activities associated with caring for children and youth with special health care needs.

The Southern Regional Center serves the following counties: Adams, Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Dodge, Grant, Green, Iowa, Juneau, Lafayette, Richland, Rock, Sauk and Vernon.
