Birth to 3 Video Lending Library: Created by the Wisconsin Personnel Development Project and funded by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services Birth to 3 Program

Who Can Use the Birth to 3 Video Lending Library?

The Birth to Three Video Lending Library has restricted use. It is a resource to agencies involved in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families in Wisconsin. In order to borrow videotapes from the Catalog, you must have connections to the Birth to 3 Program.

Those who may place orders to borrow videotapes from the Birth to 3 collection include:

  • Staff hired directly by a Birth to 3 agency/program or contracted by a Birth to 3 agency in Wisconsin to provide services such as speech and language, physical or physical therapy, education, service coordination, and/or other early intervention services.
  • Parents of children who are currently receiving Birth to 3 services in Wisconsin. ( Parents may order videos directly or request that a service provider from their Birth to 3 program place the order for them.)
  • Parent organizations/ groups who support families of young children with disabilities in Wisconsin
  • Faculty (college and university) in Wisconsin who prepare preservice students for positions in early intervention (e.g., early childhood special education, physical therapy, communicative disorders, occupational therapy, nursing).
  • County and city public health nurses in Wisconsin.
  • Staff from perinatal centers in Wisconsin.

Other interested persons may access videos through the Birth to 3 program in their county. If you are not one of the users listed above, contact your county's Birth to 3 program to learn how you may work together to access videotapes. Call 1-800-642-STEP for your county's Birth to 3 program.

If you have questions about your eligibility to access the video library, e-mail tuchman@waisman.wisc.edu.

We would appreciate your feedback on the content and use of the videotapes you view. Please complete and return the brief evaluation form included with each videotape. If you know of good videos you would like to see added to the collection, please note them on the evaluation form or call us. We anticipate the collection will continue to grow. We want to hear from you to help us keep the library vital and relevant.
