These 3 videos are about inclusion of young children with special needs, birth through five years of age, in community child care programs. The overview video (12 minutes) presents the legal, social and educational rationale for inclusion. The provider version (20 minutes) of Can I Play Too? introduces the viewer to Tommy, a young boy with cerebral palsy, his parents and the people who provide services to Tommy in day care. In the parent version (20 minutes), several parents, including Tommy's, share their experiences and feelings about inclusion. The 3 videos have been designed to raise awareness about inclusion issues and have been used effectively for inservice and preservice training.

They discuss the fears and concerns they had about running an inclusive child care program, and the techniques they used to make their programs successful. Parents of children with special needs talk about the difficulty they have finding suitable family child care. The video also outlines relevant pieces of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Part H of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
