Our Research

The Toddler Talk Project is a federally-funded longitudinal study examining early communication skills in children, including those on the autism spectrum.

Our Clinic

The Early Autism Communication Research Clinic (EACRC) will provide children participating in the Toddler Talk Project with a free developmental evaluation performed by a licensed psychologist.

Families will also receive information about their children's speech and language development.

Information for Families

Families may receive up to $270 per year for their participation. Travel will be reimbursed for families living more than 20 miles from the Waisman Center. Childcare during the sessions for participants' siblings is also available.

This research is approved by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Social and Behavioral Sciences Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Participants. All information in this project will be kept confidential.
