Dr. Richard Pauli

Medical geneticist Richard Pauli has made a career of helping families who have lost an infant to stillbirth.  In 1983, Pauli founded the Wisconsin Stillbirth Service Program (WiSSP) to assist grieving parents searching for answers.  Pauli has worked with pathologists, obstetricians, nurses, and genetics counselors across Wisconsin to create a community-based process for investigating stillbirth cases.  Over 70 hospitals in Wisconsin refer families to WiSSP, which has served more than 1,600 infants.

Pauli is a professor of medical genetics and pediatrics and part of the Waisman Centers medical genetics program.
