Seth Pollak, PhD receives APA Distinguished Scientific Award
Waisman researcher Seth Pollak, PhD, been selected as a
recipient of the 2006 American Psychological
Association (APA) Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career
Contribution to Psychology. As the history of this award indicates, it is an
outstanding accolade for scientific achievement by a young psychologist. Pollak is an associate professor in the Departments of Psychology, Psychiatry, and Pediatrics. At the Waisman Center, he is faculty co-coordinator of the Research Participation Core and conducts his research in the Social and Affective Sciences Group. His research is focused on children's emotional development and the relationship between early emotional experience and child psychopathology.
