A recent study by Waisman Center researchers published in the journal Pediatrics concludes that the prevalence of children being served under the special education autism category in Wisconsin seems to be leveling off in the school districts with the highest prevalence rates. The study's authors, Maureen Durkin PhD, DrPH, and UW-Madison PhD student Matthew Maenner, used data from Wisconsin schools.
