The Pepper WordPerfect Macro files

(Includes macro files DN.WCM, KERN.WCM, MKERN.WCM, PEP.WCM, and UP.WCM in PEPMACRO.EXE [24K])

To Extract the Download File

1. Open Windows Explorer (Windows 95, 98, 2000) or File Manager (Windows 3.1).

2. Open the folder where you saved the downloaded file (pepmacro.exe).

3. Double-click on pepmacro.exe. The WinZip self-extractor will open. If you want to choose a different folder to save the extracted files, type the drive and folder in the box. Click Unzip. The five macro files (dn.wcm, kern.wcm, mkern.wcm, pep.wcm, up.wcm) will be saved in the folder you choose. HINT: If you know the default macro directory for WordPerfect 6.1 or higher, you can save the extracted files to that directory. (See Macros for WordPerfect 6.1 below.)

4. After you have installed the macro files, you can delete the downloaded file (pepmacro.exe).

Macros for WordPerfect 6.1 and higher

To find the path for the default and supplemental macro folders for your system:

1. Start WordPerfect.

2. Choose Edit > Preferences. The Preferences dialog box will open.

3. Double-click on File (WP61) or Files (WP70). The File Preferences dialog box will open.

4. WP61: Click on the check box to the left of Macros. WP70: Click on the Merge/Macro tab.

5. Note the path (drive and folder) for the default macro folder and supplemental macro folder. You may copy the macro files to either folder. (If both fields are empty, you can create a default directory for the macro files.)

NOTE: If you are using WordPerfect on a network, you may not be able to copy the macro files to the default macro folder. Usually, you can create a supplemental macro folder on your local (C:) drive and copy the macro files to that directory. Ask your network administrator if you have difficulty.

Copy the macro files (dn.wcm, kern.wcm, mkern.wcm, pep.wcm, up.wcm) from the folder where you extracted the download file to the default or supplemental macro folder you located above. After copying, you can delete the five macro files (listed above) from the folder where they were extracted.
