Postdoctoral and Visiting Scientist Positions
The Phonology Project currently has funded positions available for persons interested in research in child speech sound disorders, including postdoctoral research and visiting scientist positions. Flexible arrangements allow interested researchers to use our diverse databases and analysis tools to study the origin, assessment, and treatment of child speech sound disorders.
Some current Phonology Project studies include research on:
- the etiological origins of child speech sound disorders
- speech processes associated with the short-term and long-term normalization of child speech sound disorders
- computer-assisted assessment of speech sound disorders
- etiological-based treatment of speech sound disorders using a two-factor treatment framework
- idiosyncratic speech sound disorder
- speech sound disorder secondary to neurologic disorder
- speech sound disorder secondary to neurodevelopmental disorder (autism, chromosomal translocations, Down syndrome, epilepsy, Fragile X syndrome, galactosemia, velocardiofacial syndrome).
