Giving Opportunities:
Every Gift Makes a Difference

Major Gifts / Naming Opportunities are vital to the improvement of the Waisman Center’s biomedical research infrastructure, enabling us to achieve our immediate goal of funding the important Laboratory Expansion Project.  Your major gift will represent a crucial source of funding support and provide a lasting legacy at the UW-Madison.  In recognition, many of these gifts may be named for the donor.

Entire 6th Floor $4 million
7th Floor Preclinical Research Facility         $2 million
Senior Investigator laboratory      $1 million
Junior Investigator laboratory    $750,000
Behavioral Research Suite $750,000
Conference Room                $300,000
Research Collaboration Lounge $200,000

Unrestricted Gifts are very valuable because they can be targeted to the most critical area of need.

Designated Gifts support specific components of the capital campaign.  For example, funds may be designated to provide support for specific equipment that is outside the scope of the construction project such as security surveillance cameras or biosafety cabinets.

Corporate Matching Gifts can be an excellent way to double or even triple your gift to the Waisman Center’s Laboratory Expansion Project.  For more information, please contact your human resources office or the Waisman Center’s UW Foundation Development Consultant, Dave Sugar (262-6503 or dave.sugar@uwfoundation.wisc.edu)

Memorial and Honor Gifts allow contributors to recognize loved ones in a special way.  Memorial gifts can be made in memory of family members, friends or colleagues who have passed away.  Honor gifts can be a way of demonstrating your affection, admiration or gratitude for someone in your life.  When such gifts are made, a special notification is sent to the family or the individual indicating that the gift will be used to support the Waisman Center’s Laboratory Renovation Project.
