Where are we?
The labs are located on the fifth floor of the Waisman Center, at 1500 Highland Avenue, close to the UW Hospital. Scroll down for more information about directions, parking, and what to do when you arrive.
Driving Directions
From the East, follow University Avenue to Campus Drive. Stay in the right lane. Exit at Highland Avenue, following the signs for the hospital. Turn right at the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp. Continue on Highland to the Waisman Center, approximately 0.5 miles. Go past Nielsen Tennis Stadium, and enter the parking lot on the north side of the two Waisman Center towers.
From the West, follow University Avenue. Turn left at the University Bay Drive/Farley Avenue intersection. Continue over the hill onto Highland Avenue. The Waisman Center is at the bottom of the hill on the left, across the street from the UW Hospital and Clinics. Enter the parking lot on the north side of the two Waisman Center towers.
When you arrive
From the parking lot, enter the doors nearest the three large stone pillars. Take an immediate right past the stairs and elevators to the reception area. Let the receptionist know you have arrived for a study at the Social Kids and SPACE Labs, and a lab member will come down to meet you. If a receptionist is not available, give us a call at 3-5853 or 0-2670 using the courtesy phone located at the desk.
Parking
When you arrive at the Waisman Center, enter the north parking lot and stay to the left, traveling alongside the building. Follow the signs for visitors. Park in the blue-lined stalls labeled "Waisman Center Patient and Client Parking Only." At the reception desk, the receptionist will have a parking pass for you to put inside your car. You may either put the pass in your car yourself, or wait for a member of our labs to assist you.
