Mural The Genetics of Emotional Ontogeny (GEO) study at the UW Psychology Department is a project investigating the personality, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of twins. The study began as a series of assessments that spanned from shortly after birth to three years of age. Currently, the only assessment being conducted is a follow-up around seven years of age with families who have already participated. No families are being recruited at this time.

Initial assessments took place both in the home and in the Center. For example, when the twins began to crawl, a research specialist would come to the home to videotape the twins crawling, being approached by a stranger, interacting with a parent, and playing hide and seek with a toy.

Currently we are only recruiting twin families that participated when the twins were infants for the 7-year follow-up. If your twins participated as infants and are now near 7-years-old, please contact Ann Baskerville via email: twincetner@psych.wisc.edu.
