Nicci is a Research Program Manager, managing all Wisconsin Twin Research activities. She graduated with a BA in psychology and philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1999. She earned her MS in counseling psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004 and completed certification as a lactation counselor in 2007. Nicci received the 2010 Waisman Center Academic Staff Award presented by the Friends of the Waisman Center for exceptional performance as an academic staff member. She has over eleven years of experience with the research program. She manages the day-to-day operations, grant renewals, IRB approvals, budgets, hiring, and communication with research collaborators locally and outside institutions. Nicci has co-authored more than 25 manuscripts and conference presentations. She trains students and staff on various aspects of the project, and codes palm print and birth record data. Nicci is a mother of a 5-year-old. Her running resume includes 17 marathons and ultra-marathons. In Nicci's free time, she also enjoys exploring Madison's bikepaths, paddling scenic waterways, and an occasional weekend retreat to Northern Wisconsin with family.
