SB-List
SB-List - A discussion list for parents of children with spina bifida. The list focuses on information sharing and support. Our children range in age from infants not yet born to 30 and 40 year olds.
SB-List has been hosted by the Waisman Center since 1996. It was the first Internet discussion list specifically for parents of children with spina bifida.
To join, send your request to Linda Rowley at rowley@waisman.wisc.edu
Include your full name and indicate that you are the parent of a child with myelomeningocele spina bifida.
The list is administered through Listserv software. Once you are added to the list, you can use listserv commands to change your subscription options. These options include:
- Digest: Allows members to get one long e-mail per day with all the days messages in chronological order.
To set your sb-list subscription to Digest, send an e-mail message to: listserv@waisman.wisc.edu

In the body of the message type: "set sb-list digest"To turn off the "digest" option, send an e-mail message to: listserv@waisman.wisc.edu Leave the subject line blank.
In the body of the message type: "set sb-list nodigest" - NoMail: Allows you to stop mail when you are going on vacation or otherwise be away from your e-mail without signing off the list. To turn on the NoMail option, send an e-mail message to: listserv@waisman.wisc.edu

In the body of the message type: "set sb-list nomail"To turn off the NoMail option, send an e-mail message to: listserv@waisman.wisc.edu
Leave the subject line blank.
In the body of the message type: "set sb-list mail" - Sign Off: Allows you to leave the list without going through the list owner.
To permanently leave SB-List, send an e-mail message to: listserv@waisman.wisc.edu

The SB-List has a list archive which goes back to 1996 when the list was called "SB-Parents". The archive is private and can only be searched by list members. The archive has a powerful search engine with many search options. You will need to be a member of SB-List and sign up for a password to access the archives. See the link below for details.
