ECHO Autism: Diagnostic Assessment for School-Age Children

Target Audience & Focus

This free, virtual series is for psychologists and other diagnostic providers with previous experience conducting evaluations and working with autistic youth.

Participants will learn and share strategies for best practice diagnostic assessment for autism.

  • Refresher on autism, DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria, and autism diagnostic process (kick-off meeting)
  • Autism assessment measures
  • Differential diagnosis – anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, intellectual disability and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder
  • Educational classification vs. medical diagnoses of autism
  • Sharing feedback from an autism evaluation
  • Considerations after an autism diagnosis
  • Supporting families and providing resources

Schedule & Registration

Participants register for the round and commit to attending each session in the round. The current round is scheduled for every other Thursday starting January 11th through May 16th, 2024.
