Together for Waisman

Shaping the Future: Training the Next Generation of Researchers & Clinicians.

With guidance and direction from experienced and dedicated Waisman researchers and clinicians, students enhance their knowledge and develop their skills to be the next generation of scientists and clinicians who will advance the important work of studying the causes, consequences, and treatments to some of human health’s most complex conditions. The Waisman Center prepares students in fields related to developmental disabilities, such as autism and Down syndrome, and neurogenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, through multidisciplinary training in social, epidemiological, behavioral, and biological research. This important work may lead to treatments and therapies to improve the lives of individuals and families impacted by these conditions.

We need your help. Your charitable gift will support launching a new summer internship program for students from underserved or marginalized populations to be mentored by a Waisman researcher and work in their lab over the summer. This program may introduce and inspire students to pursue studies in developmental disabilities and neuroscience research.

Through a generous challenge grant from Jeff and Marv Levy, we have the opportunity to match donations up to $25,000.

Join us for a stay-at-home benefit on Saturday, May 21.

In appreciation for your support, our partners will receive a gourmet meal-to-go prepared by Chez Vous, goodies from Bagels Forever, Orange Tree Imports, Seafood Center, and wine from Phillips Wine Company and General Beverage.
