About: | With May being Epilepsy Awareness Month, we wanted to highlight Zach, A Film About Epilepsy. Nearing the age of twenty, Zachery Smith has a severe form of epilepsy for which there is no cure. This film captures a day in the life of his family, his schooling and Zach’s ongoing struggles with epilepsy. For more information: https://www.breakingbranchespictures.com/faith-based-work
We are also taking the opportunity to take a brief look back at Autism Acceptance Month in April and highlight another great short feature called LISTEN. LISTEN: A short film made by and with nonspeaking autistic people. We will have the opportunity to hear from Jordyn Zimmerman, one of the people in the documentary. For more information: https://communicationfirst.org/LISTEN/#movie So, join us for 2 short films and learn a little bit about what it’s like to live with a seizure disorder and also the points of view of non-speaking people with autism. |
Visit the Midweek Movies page for information about other movies in this series.
