About the Speaker: Sara Jaffee graduated from Oberlin College in 1994 and received a PhD in developmental psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2001. Having spent 11 years straddling the Atlantic Ocean, first at the Institute of Psychiatry in London as a post-doc, then as an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania starting in 2003, then back at the Institute of Psychiatry as a Senior Lecturer and Reader starting in 2007, she returned to Penn in 2012. Jaffee studies risk and resilience in children’s development with a focus on exposure to family and neighborhood violence.
