All individuals who work at the Waisman Center are required to complete HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) training within five days from the start of their position. This applies to all members of the Waisman Center community including: faculty, staff, students, volunteers, part-time employees, student hourlies, and all paid and unpaid appointees. HIPAA Training 2018-19 is the current online training course required of all faculty, staff, students, and volunteers at UW-Madison who work or train in areas where they have access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Click on this link to self-register using your NetID and password and complete the training. The course is estimated to take you approximately 20-25 minutes.
