Research Statement
As a researcher, I have had the opportunity to investigate the most commonly used ASD specific assessment measures as part of a comprehensive independent research project. I have evaluated their psychometric properties and analyzed the standardization demographics of these popular ASD specific assessments. This research has provided insight and precautions that professionals must take when administering and interpreting ASD specific measures, particularly with culturally and linguistically minoritized populations. This research has guided my ASD evaluation practices while also allowing me to collaborate and inform other professionals on the use of ASD specific assessments with minoritized populations. While at the Waisman Center I hope to continue my research efforts within this area of focus.
