Profile

Maggie Opelt, BS, is an autism spectrum disorder treatment (ASD) specialist in the Waisman Autism Treatment Programs. She works directly with learners and uses the Early Start Denver Model during sessions. Prior to coming to the Waisman Center, Opelt worked as a teacher in a school for learners with ASD and as a senior therapist in a center-based ASD treatment facility. She trained under a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) in how to implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy and how to address negative behaviors. She also has experience with VB-MAPP, the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program.
