John Walsh

John Walsh is a Madison native and Partner at Axley Brynelson, LLP. Walsh assists clients with business and corporate law transactions, estate planning, trademarks, and real estate matters. He brings to his practice a strong history of involvement in the Madison legal community. Prior to joining Axley, Walsh served as staff counsel for the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority and was a member of the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s Planning and Policy Advisory Committee. He currently serves on the board of directors for Madison Festivals, Inc. and recently served on the board of trustees for the National MS Society. Walsh received the Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the State Bar of Wisconsin in 2017. Walsh is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Wisconsin Law School. Aside from his legal career, Walsh is a frequent performer at The Comedy Club on State, past winner of Madison’s Funniest Comic, and briefly appeared on America’s Got Talent as a standup comic. He also enjoys training for marathons and completed the Boston Marathon in 2021.
