Kayla Loeber and Albert Helmick will present on Special Olympics of Wisconsin’s inclusive health strategies, the Unified Champion Schools Program, Rosemary Collaboratory and other efforts that impact youth of transition age.

By watching this presentation, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the broad scope of initiatives led by SOWI
  2. Identify policy changes, service delivery improvements and other outcomes resulting from SOWI projects
  3. Describe ways that you can get involved in and/or spread awareness of Special Olympics of Wisconsin initiatives.

Kayla Loeber is SOWI’s Inclusive Health Manager, leading efforts to advance health equity for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Wisconsin. She works closely with athletes, and healthcare providers to promote inclusive practices. Passionate about community-driven change, Kayla is dedicated to creating healthier, more inclusive environments for all.

Albert Helmick is a SOWI athlete in Fort Atkinson, WI and has co-presented on inclusive health. He is also on the healthcare transition ECHO planning team with the Waisman Center.
