Participant Recruitment – One of the goals of the Waisman Center is to extend the impact of our work beyond the walls of our facility. The various outreach activities range from center-based activities open to the general public to state-wide training and lectures, to providing direct services to children and adults with disabilities.

Friends of the Waisman Center
The Friends of the Waisman Center enhance and supplement many types of activities at the Waisman Center that otherwise would not be possible. Most of these activities directly benefit children with developmental disabilities and their families.

COW is a group of programs within the Waisman Center which work extensively with individuals and community teams supporting persons with developmental disabilities.

Provides high quality, diverse, educational, and interactive live theatrical performances at a modest cost and in fully accessible settings.
John D. Wiley Seminar Series
The seminar series features presentations by renowned scientists on topics related to human development, developmental disabilities, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Spring Benefit Concert
This annual benefit concert helps support many vital Waisman Center programs. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Waisman Center.
Waisman Center Day with the Experts
The Waisman presents four annual "Day with the Experts" events focused on autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and cochlear implants.
