Participant Recruitment – One of the goals of the Waisman Center is to extend the impact of our work beyond the walls of our facility. The various outreach activities range from center-based activities open to the general public to state-wide training and lectures, to providing direct services to children and adults with disabilities to providing useful and timely information through the Internet and our Family Resource Center.

The Waisman Center provides clinical care through specialty clinics that are operated in collaboration with UW Hospital and Clinics and several UW-Madison Departments.
The Friends of the Waisman Center enhance and supplement many types of activities at the Waisman Center that otherwise would not be possible. Most of these activities directly benefit children with developmental disabilities and their families.
