Research Statement
My research lies at the intersection of hearing science, epidemiology, and public and global health, and aims to improve the prevention and management of hearing loss across the lifespan. I am interested in understanding how hearing loss affects overall health and well-being, and how research findings can be translated to improve the delivery of hearing health care services. To achieve these aims, my work focuses on (1) characterizing the distribution and determinants of hearing loss, to inform prevention strategies, and (2) identifying approaches to improve access to and the effectiveness of treatments for hearing loss.
