You will participate in a brief phone interview and/or complete an initial intake packet about your child and your goals for treatment.

The team will review your interview information, confirm insurance coverage and prior authorization process to determine eligibility. You will receive a phone call or email when a session is available.

Once we have received your information the treatment team will review it; next steps will be:

1. Your child is a registered patient of UW Health.
2. Your child has a diagnosis of autism. Mail or email a diagnostic evaluation report or confirm that we can access the report in your child’s medical chart.
3. Contact your private health insurance provider to verify that behavioral treatment (ABA) for autism is a covered benefit.
4. Confirm with your insurance provider that UW Health is an in network provider.
5. Ask your insurer to describe the costs that you may be responsible for paying for these services (e.g., co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles).
