Neuronavigation and Electromyography

The NMS offers frameless stereotactic neuronavigation to guide neuromodulation to specific brain targets using the Rogue Brainsight system. Brainsight allows users to register MRI scans (individual or template) to the research participant’s head. Once the registration has been completed, Brainsight provides real time feedback on coil positioning to guide transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). The system has two built in EMG channels that can be used to record muscle activity. Brainsight can be paired with the Bistim2 or Super Rapid2 TMS devices, allowing EMG and stimulation coordinates to be recorded and time-locked to each pulse.
