Looking Beneath the Surface of “Challenging Behavior” – In Person Training
Featuring: Angela Marx, PhD
Overview:
Discover alternative models for understanding what challenging behaviors represent and how to best support people who experience them. Focusing on supporting mental health, physiological needs, and social-emotional development can offer a different roadmap to support individuals with complex needs and developmental differences. By using a person-centered and brain science approach, behaviors are not difficulties to get rid of but serve as an instruction manual on how to support and work with each person’s unique natural brain processes and nervous system. This approach not only diminishes behaviors and keeps everyone safe but also promotes mental health and helps the individual and their support team thrive.
