Profile

Sonja Henry, MS, CGC is a clinical genetic counselor in the Biochemical Genetics Clinic and Medical Genetics Clinic. She received her BS in Biology from St. Norbert College and her MS in Medical Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since 2005, Sonja has worked in pediatric genetics seeing patients with inborn errors of metabolism, neurodevelopmental disabilities, connective tissue disorders and rare inherited disease. She is committed to providing patients and families with the knowledge, support and resources they deserve for the best possible care.

In addition to clinical duties, she serves as a member of the Wisconsin Newborn Screening Advisory Group Metabolic Subcommittee. She is also a clinical supervisor for graduate students in the UW Master of Genetic Counseling Studies Program.
