About the Speaker: Kartik Pattabiraman, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor at the Yale Child Study Center. He completed his MD and PhD at University of California-San Francisco, where he studied genetic mechanisms of cortical development in the laboratory of Dr. John Rubenstein. Afterwards, he completed his clinical training in adult and child psychiatry and a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University in the laboratory of Dr. Nenad Sestan. His laboratory focuses on understanding how circuits in the brain assemble from both neurodevelopmental and evolutionary perspectives.
