About the Speaker:Jessica Klusek, PhD, CCC-SLP is an Associate Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of South Carolina. Her research addresses the clinical effects of the FMR1 premutation and full mutation, with a focus on cognitive, language, and social phenotypes and the influence of interfacing genetic and environmental factors on phenotypic expression across the lifespan. She is particularly committed to contributing to knowledge on understudied groups, including girls and women living with FMR1-associated conditions. Her program of research is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Klusek also serves as an advisor on the National Fragile X Foundation (NFXF)’s Scientific and Clinical Advisory Committee and Research Readiness Program.
