All individuals who work at the Waisman Center are required to complete HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) training within five days from the start of their position. This applies to all members of the Waisman Center community including: faculty, staff, students, volunteers, part-time employees, student hourlies, and all paid and unpaid appointees. HIPAA ANNUAL TRAINING: If you are a member of the UW-Madison campus and belong to a unit of our HIPAA-covered Health Care Component (HCC), you will be automatically enrolled in our HIPAA training upon association with the UW HCC (either by UDDS code via HR processes or an academic program code via data provided by our Registrar).
