On Friday, September 7, HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson paid a visit to the Waisman Center. He was on campus in connection with the groundbreaking for the new Learning Center and asked to tour the new Waisman facilities and to talk to several Waisman investigators and staff. He visited the Stem Cell Research Program (Clive Svendsen and Su-Chun Zhang), the Waisman Clinical Biomanufacturing Facility (Derek Hei), and the Keck Laboratory for Functional Brain Imaging and Behavior (Richard Davidson).
