Davidson’s Emotion Research Featured in New York Times Magazine

Waisman Researcher Richard Davidson, Ph.D., has been featured in several media stories lately regarding his work with the brain mechanisms that underlie emotions.

The most recent is a story in the September 14, 2003 New York Times Magazine. The four-page “Is Buddhism Good for Your Health?” article highlights Davidson’s efforts to transform the investigation into the effects of emotion on the brain into a legitimate scientific field. The article gives the history of Davidson’s work with Buddhist Monks and the brain changes produced by meditation.
