Planned Giving

Animals art workA gift to the Waisman Center in your will or estate plans allows you to continue your legacy while helping us sustain life changing research in our laboratories and providing children and families with the best clinical care.

Donors who wish to make bequests or beneficiary designations in support of the Waisman Center should use the following legal name:

The University of Wisconsin Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt, charitable organization which raises funds and receives gifts for the UW-Madison, including the Waisman Center.  An elected board of directors oversees its assets and activities.

Suggested bequest language

  1. For percentage of estate to benefit the Waisman Center:
    I hereby give, devise and bequeath to the University of Wisconsin Foundation, a nonprofit, non-stock Wisconsin corporation with its principal office in Madison, Wisconsin, _____percent ( %) of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate to be used for the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It is understood and agreed that should the purpose for which this bequest is instituted cease to exist, then the Foundation may devote said bequest for such other uses and purposes as it determines to be in accordance with my original intent in making this gift.
  2. For a specific amount to benefit the Waisman Center:
    I hereby give, devise and bequeath to the University of Wisconsin Foundation, a nonprofit, non-stock Wisconsin corporation with its principal offices in Madison, Wisconsin, the sum of __________ dollars ($ ) to be used for the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It is understood and agreed that should the purpose for which this bequest is instituted cease to exist, then the Foundation may devote said bequest for such other uses and purposes as it determines to be in accordance with my original intent in making this gift.
