Congratulations to Aviad Hai, assistant professor of biomedical engineering and a Waisman affiliate, on being selected as a 2020 National Institutes of Health Director’s New Innovator Award. Hai will use the $2.4 million award to further his research on injectable, wireless brain electrodes that may offer a global look at the actual electrical activity of the brain without the need for surgical procedures. Hai’s work may help illuminate the causes of neurological disease and dysfunction.
